Flat Markers

Flat Grave Markers

Flat grave markers are markers which are installed level with the ground. Also called flush markers, flat grave markers are exactly that – flat. Oftentimes, cemeteries require flat markers to be installed in certain areas and some require them across the entire cemetery. This is usually done to reduce cemetery maintenance.

Advantages of flat grave markers

  • Flat markers are typically one of the most economical types of markers and offer fewer decisions to have to make.
  • Flat grave markers generally are not as prone to vandalism in cemeteries where this is a problem.

There are a few concerns which are unique to flat grave markers, such as lack of visibility from a distance, making it a bit more difficult to find your loved one’s grave site. Additionally, flat markers are prone to becoming dirty as they lay flat to the ground.

Should you decide on a flat marker, or if it is required by your cemetery, Landmark Monuments will help you decide on its style, color, and design. We carry a variety of styles of flat grave markers as well as many different granite colors. Below are a few examples of what can be done with a flat marker. As always, we will handle everything from selection to installation and maintenance of your flat grave marker.
